Under Graduate (UG) Programs (3 Years)


Eligibility for Admission:

Admission to the UG degree programs shall be open to candidates who:

  • Have passed the Higher Secondary Examination (XII Std.) in all subjects conducted by the Tamil Nadu Board of Higher Secondary Education in the Examination held in 1980 and thereafter.
  • Have passed the Senior School Certificate Examination (XII Std.) conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education in the examination held in 1979 and thereafter in not less than 5 subjects of which English shall be one.
  • Have passed the Indian School Certificate Examination (12 Years), Conducted by the Council for Indian School Certificate Examination, in the examination held in 1977 and thereafter in not less than 5 subjects of which English shall be One.
  • Have passed the Pre-University Examination of any recognised Statutory University or Board, Higher Secondary School or Intermediate Education in India.
  • Have passed any Examination conducted by the Government of a State or University of Statutory Board, (other than Higher Secondary Examination conducted by the Tamil Nadu Board of Higher Education) under the 10+2 pattern and after 12 years of study in not less than 5 Subjects of which English shall be One.
  • Have passed the first year examination (Arts & Science) Conducted by the University of Bombay.
  • Have passed the Intermediate Examination (two years Course) Conducted by the Board of Intermediate Education, Andhra Pradesh.
  • Have passed the Pre-University Examination (two years course) conducted by the Board of Pre-University Examination, Govt. of Karnataka.
  • Have passed the Pre-Technical Examination conducted by the Board of Technical Education and Training, Chennai. Candidates who have passed the Pre-Technical Commerce Course Examination conducted by the State Board of Technical Education and Training are eligible for admission to the degree course in Humanities only.
  • Have passed Examination outside India after putting in a course of 12/13 years duration provided that such candidates shall have passed the examination with not less than FIVE subjects including English.

Applicants who have passed the Higher Secondary Certificate Examination or any equivalent examination recognized by the University of Madras are eligible for admission to any UG degree programs which will be taught under Credit Based Semester System.

Bachelor of Computer Application (BCA)

Candidates who have taken Mathematics / Business Mathematics / Computer Science (Academic or Vocational stream) as one of the subjects in Higher Secondary Examination or an examination accepted as equivalent thereto by the Syndicate are eligible for seeking admission to the BCA degree program.

B.Com – Corporate Secretaryship

Candidates who have taken Accountancy, Commerce and Mathematics or Computer Science / Business Mathematics or Statistics or Economics or Vocational Subjects in Higher Secondary Examination or an examination accepted as equivalent thereto by the Syndicate are eligible for seeking admission to the B.Com. Corporate Secretaryship degree program.

B.Com – General

Candidates who have taken Accountancy, Commerce and Mathematics or Computer Science / Business Mathematics or Statistics or Economics or Vocational Subjects in Higher Secondary Examination or an examination accepted as equivalent thereto by the Syndicate are eligible for seeking admission to the B.Com. General degree program.

B.Sc Biochemistry

Candidates who have taken any science group with Chemistry as one of the subject in Higher Secondary Examination or an examination accepted as equivalent thereto by the Syndicate are eligible for seeking admission to the B.Sc. Biochemistry degree program.

B.Sc Biotechnology

Candidates who have taken any science group in Higher Secondary Examination or an examination accepted as equivalent thereto by the Syndicate are eligible for seeking admission to the B.Sc. Biotechnology degree program.

B.Sc Computer Science

Candidates who have taken Mathematics / Business Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Science (Academic or Vocational stream) as one of the subjects in Higher Secondary Examination or an examination accepted as equivalent thereto by the Syndicate are eligible for seeking admission to the B.Sc. Computer Science degree program.

B.Sc Electronics and Communication Science

Candidates who have taken Mathematics and Physics as one of the subjects in Higher Secondary Examination or an examination accepted as equivalent thereto by the Syndicate are eligible for seeking admission to the B.Sc. Electronics and Communication Science degree program.

B.Sc Microbiology

Candidates who have taken any science group with Biology / Botany and Zoology as one of the subjects in Higher Secondary Examination or an examination accepted as equivalent thereto by the Syndicate are eligible for seeking admission to the B.Sc. Microbiology degree program.
